Advanced Metal Fabrication Capabilities

In metal fabrication, sheets of metal material are formed into 2- and 3-dimensional shapes and include features like bends, notches, and holes. We have designed our fabrication operations to support complex OEM requirements with precision and efficiency. By managing fabrication in-house, we provide dependable results while controlling cost and lead time.

Our Metal Fabrication Services

  • Press brakes. Precision press brakes form sheet metal into V- and U-shaped bends or angles up to 120 degrees. This flexibility means we can meet a wide range of OEM requirements, from simple brackets to intricate structural components.
  • Laser cutting. Fiber laser machines cut metals accurately and efficiently, with very little scrap or waste. This process also improves turnaround times while maintaining consistency across production runs.
  • Welding. We offer MIG, TIG, and other welding methods that are performed by experienced technicians. Our processes are certified to AWS and ISO standards to meet the requirements of OEM applications in industries such as Construction, HVAC, and Agriculture.

Welding is used to create strong joins between two pieces of metal, using heat and pressure. New Standard Corporation offers a wide range of production welding methods to meet the diverse needs of OEM projects, from small precision components to heavy-duty assemblies. Our facilities include welding workstations as well as automated and robotic cells to ensure efficiency, scalability, and consistency.

Production Welding Services
  • Spot welding. This is a reliable method for joining sheet metal by applying heat and pressure at precise points, often used in high-volume production.
  • Projection welding. This method is ideal for parts with embossed or formed projections, delivering strong welds for components that require durability and repeatability.
  • MIG welding. Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding is a fast method suitable for thicker materials and large-scale production.
  • TIG welding. Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding produces high-quality welds with superior precision, especially for thinner metals or parts requiring a clean finish.
  • Robotic and cobot welding. Automated robotic systems provide speed and repeatability, while collaborative robots (i.e., cobots) allow for flexibility and efficient changeover in mixed-production environments.
  • Fronius pulse welding equipment for aluminum. Our Fronius equipment is designed to improve weld quality and reduce distortion in aluminum components.

In metal stamping, metal sheets or coil strips are fed into a stamping press, where precision tooling strikes it, forming part features and cuts. Our stamping capabilities are designed to support everything from small, precision parts to large, heavy-gauge components. With a wide range of press capacities and bed sizes, we provide the flexibility OEMs need for both simple and highly complex parts.

Metal Stamping Services
  • Press capacity. Our stamping presses range from 5 to 2,700 tons, with maximum bed sizes up to 262 in. long by 72 in. wide. This allows us to work with a wide variety of material types and thicknesses, including steel, copper, aluminum, and pre-painted steel.
  • Heavy-tonnage stamping. We are one of the few family-owned manufacturers with extremely high-tonnage presses; therefore, we can engineer and stamp large, complex parts that other suppliers may not be able to produce.
  • Progressive die and deep draw stamping. We custom-engineer and manufacture progressive, deep draw, punches, tooling, and dies. These tools are used to produce precision parts with many different features, profiles, and complexities.
  • Mixed-mode manufacturing. In addition to stamping, our capabilities include complementary processes such as fiber laser cutting, press braking, welding, and brazing for an integrated manufacturing solution.
  • Scalable production. Whether you need a single prototype or a run of more than one million parts, our stamping processes are built to scale quickly and efficiently.
  • Ongoing technology investment. We continually invest in modern stamping equipment and advanced technologies to expand our capabilities, improve material utilization, and increase production efficiency.

New Standard Corporation provides integrated assembly services for industries including construction, mining, consumer products, and industrial equipment. We have found that offering comprehensive stamping, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes within a single organization eliminates our customers’ need to work with multiple suppliers and streamlines overall project efficiency.

Value-Additions for Manufacturers in Pennsylvania

In addition to our core fabrication and stamping services, New Standard Corporation provides value-added services allowing us to offer complete, integrated manufacturing.

New Standard Corporation can fabricate parts and components from many types of metal including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized and pre-painted steels. In addition, all welding processes follow AWS and ISO standards to meet customer and regulatory specifications.

Our York, PA and Rocky Mount, NC facilities support high-complexity assemblies and custom packaging services, including component and product kitting tailored to customer requirements.

Our trained and experienced personnel build electromechanical assemblies such as power modules, chassis systems, and heat transfer assemblies for OEM applications where precision and reliability are critical.

Our process includes creating structured management of the Bill of Materials (BOM), documentation control, and ISO 9001:2015-aligned quality checks for each project.

Oversized and heavy-gage parts often require specialized equipment and processes to manufacture successfully. We solve these challenges with large-bed and high-tonnage presses and heavy-duty tooling. Having this equipment on-site in our facility eliminates the need to involve and manage multiple suppliers at different stages of production. This provides speed to market, quality, and consistency.
