How We Do It
New Standard Corporation is using a process improvement methodology called Six Sigma. Six Sigma is a relentless step-by-step approach to process improvement that drives out the variation in any process by identifying the root causes and correcting them.

New Standard's reputation is built on the precision and quality of our products and services. New Standard is ISO 9001-2000 certified, QS 9000 registered, and currently undertaking the process to become TS 16949 registered by February 2006.

Quality Lab
New Standard has a complete Quality Lab in which various parts may be tested in-house. If you need additional offsite testing, New Standard has a complete array of partners for offsite testing. When the decision is made to test offsite, New Standard sends an engineer to the test site, especially if the testing involves the structural integrity of the components we provide.

Metrology
Precision stamping and fabrication requires state-of-the-art measurement systems in order to maintain process control. New Standard has an extensive preventative maintenance and a calibration program which includes all customer-owned tooling.

Containment
At New Standard it typically takes less than 48 hours for containment of any known problem due to our lot tracing capabilities. A root cause analysis will be completed within 7 to 10 days and the corrective action plan will be sent to the customer within 30 days utilizing the 8-D process. All customer quality data is available upon request.

Customer Action Teams (CAT)
New Standard typically creates a Customer Action Team (CAT), matching your manufacturing process engineer, quality engineer, and scheduler with
New Standard counterparts and our focus shifts from design implementation to cost
savings projects.

Documentation
New Standard provides manufacturing documentation to its customers and design documentation in situations where we are the design source. Under our Quality Management System procedures, manufacturing documentation is retained for one year and design information is retained for three years after completion of the project.

Supply Chain Management
New Standard selects and develops companies that not only provide high quality products on time, but also provide support for design, manufacturing, logistics, and waste elimination. We search for companies that practice excellent quality procedures, are a leader in their industry and proactively research and implement the latest technologies and management tools to maintain a competitive edge.
