Position: Safety & Environmental Coordinator

Role Expectations:
- Lead the continuous improvement efforts to achieve the Company goal of zero injuries.
- Lead safety teams at all facilities.
- Manage first aid program and staff, train and coach all first aiders.
- Perform accident investigations on all accidents, injuries, and near misses and submit corrective action recommendations to appropriate managers.
- Coach and train coordinators/managers on safety awareness, safe work methods, and safety & environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain & monitor safety training records and all OSHA logs
- Manage all safety supplies.
- Manage all required safety training (e.g., lock-out/tag-out, MSDS, evacuation, forklift, crane, bloodborne pathogens, fire drills) mandated by OSHA and company polices.
- Perform regular audits of safety practices and procedures across all shifts at all facilities and provide corrective action recommendations to appropriate managers.
- Review and recommend revisions to all safety and environmental policies to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies to meet Company goals.
- Conduct annual audiometric testing of associates and periodic work area noise exposure testing to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Conduct all safety training for First Day Orientation
- Complete all government compliant environmental reporting.
- Develop/maintain professional working relationship with state, federal, and local individuals/organizations relating to safety, environmental and health issues.
Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skill, and Attitude):
- Maintenance programs and management
- Knowledge of Safety and Health laws, Environmental laws, regulations, policies and procedures

- Proficient with MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel
- Knowledge of Regulatory Agencies (OSHA, HAZMAT) required High School Diploma or equivalent BS degree or minimum of 5 years experience
